Choices in Video Games - Fair Earth Resources

(0)
Fair Earth - The Gateway to Global Citizenship. Video games are one of the most widely consumed forms of media in the world, with millions of young people playing games across a range of platforms. In this medium, people can fly spacecraft, use spells, and make life-or-death decisions in scenarios that hardly reflect real life. But what about the conscious implications of how we decide to play video games, and how could these affect us? In this lesson, selected presentations will equip students to further examine their own moral decisions in gaming. Class workshops and home assignments are included to further explore the link between gaming and personal ethics. Suitable for in-class, online and independent learning. Lesson plan by Jensen Akal. Your £1.00 fee goes towards the vital aid & conservation work that the Fair Earth Foundation engages in worldwide

AWF Flower Pot Design Project

(0)
The flower pot design project aims to teach students about different cultures, conservation, climate change, design and global citizenship. Schools will receive terracotta plant pots via the AWF made by villagers living in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Students will design their own terracotta plant pot based on different cultural pot designs from around the world. Students will have to research the different cultural designs individually and adapt the research into their own designs. Students can also sell their designs afterwards (see AWF's fair trade and entrepreneurship program).
